Cabbage Key

Short Boat ride to the place known by many as “the bar with all the money on the walls”, the Cabbage Key bar has been serving up drinks to boaters for over 60 years. With active fireplaces, original hardwood floors, and Cypress walls, the bar, and the formal dining room make up the other two dining locations.

Cayo Costa State Park

Shelling, Fishing, & Solitude

Accessible only by boat or kayak, this former fishing ground of the Calusa Indians features nine miles of undeveloped shoreline for swimming, snorkeling, shelling, fishing, birdwatching, and exploration along with several walking and bicycling trails through the island’s interior. Shorebirds are numerous, and one might spot manatees, porpoises, and sea turtles offshore.

Boats and Fun

Boats and Fun located by Mango's can rent you great boats to explore the Pine Island Sound.  You can hire a captain or take the boat out yourself after taking a short boating course. They also rent additional kayaks, bikes, and other activities.
